Of a bittersweet concert, para para dance, nosebleeding moments and birthday surprises

February 26, 2008

I had just finished watching Aice5 “Final Party Last Aice5” Live in Yokohama concert DVD for a milestone of 10th times ever since it arrived to me last monday. The concert was held in Yokohoma arena on the 20th September 2007. The DVD was officially released on 14th February 2008 and I pre-ordered it immediately once I saw it ready for pre-orders. Heh, I find the date extremely ironic. One year ago, they released their first ever album on the same day and one year later they released their final concert DVD. I hate the fella who did all the marketing for them.

Aice5 was basically a group of 5 voice actresses coming in together and start out as singers. It comprised of Horie Yui, Akemi Kanda, Asano Masumi, Takahashi Chiaki and Kimura Madoka. They started out two years ago and I got to admit that when I first supported this group, I supported it because there’s Hoc-chan inside as the leader of this group. However, it didn’t take me long to adore and support the other four members of the group. They are extremely funny together and their songs are surprisingly good and heartfelt. On 14th February 2007 they released their first ever album called “Love Aice5”. Inside this album, every member of the group became lyricists and a total of 5 songs came out as the result of their creativity. Year 2007 Valentine’s day was extremely sweet for me because they finally released their first album after coming out with 3 singles (Get Back, Believe My Love, Love Power). I thought they will last…how wrong I was. Two to three months later, they announced that they will be officially splitting on the 20th September 2007. That day itself, they will hold their final concert and that day is also the birthday for Hoc-chan. Damn, as I said, I hate the person who planned all this release date marketing thing.

Anyway, back to the concert. It is a very good concert. I have to say this again and again. They sang like professional singers (not like wannabe singers) and I totally forgot that they are originally voice actresses. No single moment of the concert was boring. Hell, even the MC part was extremely hilarious. The second MC part was extremely memorable because they gave a surprise birthday celebration for Hoc-chan. They forced her to close her eyes as they prepare for the surprise and she looked extremely cute as she waited eagerly with her eyes closed. Then again, I might be extremely bias on this matter because I am EXTREMELY obsessed with Hoc-chan. La di da. Akemi Kanda was very funny too because she kept on wanting to eat the cake and she actually kinda chased the cake when it was pushed away from the stage. I took some screenshots but don’t expect them to be very good because I am too distracted with watching the concert than to bother about the quality of the screenshots. Lol. Be warned though, there’s quite a number of pictures and it can be a nightmare if you’re using dial-up lol.

Of Hidden Pictures, Memories and Cosplay Cafe

February 21, 2008

Honestly, 5 minutes ago, I was scratching my head hard trying to make all my routers and PCs ping each other in a packet tracer simulation. I was being very good and try to finish up my lab assignments and needed by tomorrow. I was also at the same time writing a proposal for my Games Programming II group project. While I was finding high and low for a MMU logo picture lodged somewhere inside my hard disk, I found some pictures that I had totally forgotten about. Those pictures were taken by my cousin when I went to visit him with my grandmom (more like I had to escort my grandmom there) in Singapore. All those pictures are taken on 8th of April 2007. That’s nearly a year already…time really flies. But I had a great time that night because one of my friend who are currently still studying in Singapore met up with me and together with my cousin brother, we went to have a late dinner in a cosplay cafe. Lol. Apparently I told my cousin brother I am interested in anime and he insisted that I should go to the cafe. Oh well, since he’s treating, who am I to complain? Read the rest of this entry ?

Of a rainbow colored water and happy to be alive fish

February 21, 2008

This is another photo of my fish taken by Cholic. I got to say, it’s marvelous. I especially love the bubble and rainbow color effect on the water.

Of Dead Fish, Fish tank, Skipped classes and back bone pain

February 21, 2008

Four out of nine fish I got yesterday went RIP on me. They didn’t manage to survive until Cholic bought and brought back the necessary equipments to keep them alive. Sad, but there’s nothing I can do. Oh well, at least there’s five more left. Then Cholic bought me another two fish to make the total tally to seven. Then during my club meeting around 8pm in the evening I realized that there’s still lots of not scooped fish swimming in a very contaminated aquarium. So I approached my friend who was also a working committee for the event and bought another three fish bringing my fish tally now to ten. I couldn’t buy anymore than ten or else all my fish will suffocate in the not-so-big tank I currently have. So here’s some pictures of my gold carp (apparently they are not gold fish according to the labels in Pets Wonderland in Midvalley) fish. The lighter skin ones are the ones Cholic bought for me.

Of Hoc-chan, Wii, Gold Fish, Mini Bon Odori, torn tissues and remembrance

February 20, 2008

First of all, before I start talking crap, I would like to convey a moment of silence for the passing of one of my most endeared actress of all time, Lydia Shum Din Ha. She passed away on 19 February 2008 at 8.38am. The cause of her death was liver cancer. She will be dearly missed, as an inspiration and someone who brought many laughter into my childhood life through all her shows.

Of a lame ending, overspending, and an unhealthy obsession towards someone

February 18, 2008

It took me until today to realize that Friendster’s blog site is LAME and of course, being one of its user, I am also, therefore, found guilty and can be officially labeled as LAME. Hell, I don’t even know why I start writing in it in the first place. Oh, wait, it is because back then I was stuck in Melaka, with a LAME internet connection in a LAME apartment and leading a LAME life. Heck, I was only hours away from my moral final exam paper when I started my first post in my friendster’s blog back then. Don’t believe me? Here’s the proof. Oh, well the damage has been done so no use lamenting bout it now (though I just did from the first word I typed on this post). I shall take this chance to say farewell to my friendster blog site. Goodbye, sayonara, adios, you shall be not-so-dearly missed. Read the rest of this entry ?
