Yay! I’m a M.S.S member!!!

So after all these while, I am finally an official stalker Minorin Smile Season member. For your information, to apply for MSS or any other seiyuu fanclub membership, you need to have a valid Japan residence address and you need to pay via Loppi Machine, Lawson ticket or Japan post office. So yeah, if you’re not in Japan, don’t ask me how I got my membership.

Anyway, the fanclub process is quite efficient. I paid on Thursday and got my confirmation email on the next Monday. Then they sent my fanclub card (as seen above) together with M.S.S vol 5 and M.S.S vol 6. I seriously didn’t expect them to send the back issue vol 5 to me as it was published somewhere in March / April. You can check the scans and coverage of that via danie’s blog. So yeah, I won’t be covering vol. 5 though the bed hair is awsm.

So let’s check out what’s in vol. 6 of M.S.S. The theme for this volume is Minorin in yukata = default win.

Hocchan in cheerleading costume? WIN!!!

It’s been awhile since I last updated. I thought I died but I didn’t and I subtly remembered that I had a blog lol. So here’s an update after so long. Many things happened for between now and the previous update which made me unable to (or never bothered to) update my blog. So before I fangirl blog about Hocchan’s latest single Yahho!, lemme recap briefly what happened to me (since I’m so narcissistic I like talking about myself).

1) I graduated.

Yes I did! I finally obtained a degree majoring in talking crap and doing nonsense software engineering. Geek. Lol. The convocation was nerve wrecking. I had to wear the robe which somehow threatened to flip open with every single step I took walking to the stage. Wore the hat which somehow kept tilting to the right side of my head and the tassel kept smacking on my face. I had to wear formal clothings and my convocation started at 8am hence I had to be there by 7am like what the hell. I only managed a 2 hours sleep the night before because I epicly forgot to wash my formal clothings until 7 hours before convocation. Thank god it dried up in time. Got a bunch of presents from my housemates, friends and of course family. My sister gave me a present …(I won’t tell what) but it unexpectedly made me bawl like a baby when I opened it. God. I cried like there’s no tomorrow. Luckily I opened the present at home and not at the hall lol.

2) After graduation …now what? Job hunting!

I don’t even know why I did it so fast. My initial plan was to roll around and laze around at home for probably 4-5 months until my mother got sick of the sight of me and kick me out of the house for good. But, I guess the excessive spending on seiyuu stuffs taken its toll on me and I need some source of moolahs if I were to continue buying nosebleed inducing stuff like Hocchan’s new single Yahho! Somehow, I don’t even know how, I applied randomly for a job, answered randomly during an interview and I got the job. Lol. So I was only a NEET for 1 week after my convocation before I started working. Now I joined the likes of danie and j1m0ne in the working world. Yay, we’re gonna be a bunch of grumpy working people. Fun.

So yeah basically I was tied down with my job. The pro of my job is that the working hours are extremely flexible. I start at 10am usually and end at 6pm. I can go lunch anytime I want and my collegues are a fun bunch of people. We actually have badminton sessions on Wednesdays =D. The con of the job is that sometimes it’s really hectic. Flexible but hectic? Weird huh. But that’s how it is. Sometimes I have to run around Kuala Lumpur for meetings and then rush back to my office in Cyberjaya. The worst part is that I have to drive to those meetings or crawl my way through. KL traffic jam is no fun I tell you. No fun and I drive stick.

Anyway, that aside, let’s resume fangirling Hocchan =D. It’s been a while since I blog about Hocchan and this new single just gave me the perfect reason to do so. Yahho! ! is a new single by Hocchan released on the 26th August 2009 and it serves as the ED for the anime Kanamemo! This single’s PV is so nosebleed inducing. Hocchan in cheerleading costume and then she changes to multiple styles of sports outfit such as tennis (kyaa! Smack me with your racquet please Hocchan!), pingpong (smack me again!), lacrose (err…net me?) and golf (PANGYA, HOCCHAN, PANGYA!).

This single is special as the song Yahho! is composed by none other by Hocchan herself. She also penned her own lyrics for this song. Hocchan, a composer and lyricist? I APPROVE! A highly recommended single and you can get them here.

Perhaps I went overboard?

So Danie went to Japan to fulfill her OCND (that’s Obsessive Compulsive Nana Disorder). Taking advantage of her trip, and knowing that she’s coming over to Malaysia for DaiCon after that, I asked her to buy some stuff for me. Then today, she sent me a picture of the stuff she bought for me together with the extras…now suddenly I feel like a stalker.

By the way, thank you Danie for getting all those for me. I love you <3. I know you walked around to get all those extras. But yeah, staring at that pictures kinda creep myself out. I’m slowly developing OCMD (figure it yourself).

Now DaiCon is just roughly 6 days away…I have to decide which one to choose for Minorin to sign. Hmm….decisions, decisions, decisions.

Is this going to be a good one? I don’t know.

Is this going to be a hillarious one? You bet it is.

It all started with one fine day…(yesterday)…when I was just hanging around with nothing to do. J1m0ne suddenly gave me a while idea which I implemented and of course dragging Danie along. What’s is it all about? Hehehe. Tragic stuff.

I’m here to announce that j1m0ne, danie and I have decided to form a blog together! Endorsed by the event DaiCon (which host our chaotic blog), we are now forming a blog called the san bonkurasu (aka 3 bonklers).

Perhaps many will wonder, what’s the blog about…why do we create another blog when we all have our individual blog and what’s the aim or mission. The truth is. There’s nothing to it lol. We just create this blog to bash each other more (as if we haven’t been doing it enough during our gtalk sessions) and basically a prequel to our meeting during the event DaiCon. (Yeah, we’re going to meet up for the first time then).

So we decided to start the blog up. And start introducing ourselves and the rest of the team which ultimately ends up like another bashing session (yet). You can identify the author of the post via our nickname but since we are all admins to the blog…we can easily sabotage each other’s post. He he he he. Which is already evident in the first post.

Anyway, we finally finished up our introductions respectively and decided to open the blog up officially for everyone’s viewing. Again, reading the blog is probably like watching a gag show or something. But anyway, I hope everyone enjoys it while the fun last. My jaw is permanently dropped on the floor…and it’s not because of this picture

Today was my usual torture session. I reckon if I were to attend DaiCon and listen to Minorin’s Q and A session, I should at least try to prevent my ears from bleeding when she randomly squeaked or laughed in extreme high pitch. Therefore I started listening to her radio show, “Minorhythm” to build up my endurance. Today’s Minorhythm is undeniably one of the most epic minorhythm ever. Who woulda guessed…the day Chihara Minori started speaking in ENGLISH.

Yes you heard that right. English. For some reason, she wants to learn English (after not knowing the language for 29 years of her life), and she signed up to an English class with her friends. Apparently the teacher is a ‘gaijin sensei’ (foreign teacher) and it’s a 40 minutes class. Gee. Kinda short if you were to ask me.

Anyway, eager to show off what she learned. She started speaking random English words during the whole radio show. I’ve managed to list down the english words that she said during the whole show. Sorry I cannot cover the whole radio show, I’m still trying to clean up my monitor screen of totally spraying my iced tea onto it when I first heard Minorin speaking in English. So anyway, these are the English words that Minorin spoken and probably understood.

1. My name is Minori Chihara (sounded like mai neim is Minori Chihara).

For one thing, the gaijin sensei is really working wonders here. He/she killed off the bad habit of Japanese pronouncing name as “neimu” and is as “izu”. And hey, they put the last name behind.

2. English~bun (some random words she spilled in between I don’t know what the hell that bun supposed to be though)

3. English school

4. I’m study English..ok? No? (a little grammartical mistake here. the -ing is missing from study but apart from that it’s quite ok…heck even my english is a grammar horror story)

5. One lesson

6. English~one

7. Japanese~English

8. Anima, enema (…she’s trying to pronounce anime…god knows why enema came out)

9. L, M, N

Hmm my suspicion is the gaijin sensei thought them ABC and how to pronounce them correctly. Well she did pronounce L correctly. Not the usual “eru” that we hear. She said that pronouncing L, M and N is hard. English is hard but at the same time she thinks it’s fun.

10. Hard (more like hardoru…fail)

Apart from the words I’ve listed out, she did mutter a few more random sentences but it was incoherent mumble that I couldn’t make it out so too bad. Generally her pronounciation is quite alright because she spoke slowly which I think it’s a good thing. Why want to try and speak fast when you cannot speak properly? Now I can’t wait to see if she will start speaking English in DaiCon. That is..if she continues attending her English classes. Damn.

It’s Friday 22nd May 2009 and I officially bombed 4 out of my 6 final examaination papers. Joy. In fact I have another paper due in 3 hours time but hey look what I’m doing. I’m updating my blog because I’m sick of reading about Defamation Act 1957 or Sedition Act 1948. Seriously why is there a law subject in my course? I don’t know. Screw it.

Anyway, just when I’m down and emo, I was brought to attention by danie about a new Hocchan single due to be released on August 5th! More Hocchan goodness! Hell yeah! As usual, the CD comes in two flavors, one regular edition and the other is the limited edition for roughly 700 yen extra but with the PV included <3 . I think everyone can guess which version I’m buying. Hocchan is love <3 <3 <3. I admit I have been losing touch with anime related news or seiyuu news because:

1) My final year project is an ass.

2) My final year project moderator is an ass. (I don’t see how it’s related but I just want to mention that he’s an ass).

3) My degree major is an ass.

4) Watching anime or keeping up with seiyuu news admist all my assignments is a pain in the ass.

5) I’m an ass.

So err, what was I saying again? Oh the new single. Right. It’s actually the ending theme for an upcoming anime entitled “Kanamemo”. Don’t ask me what it is about because I didn’t really check it out but what I know is that they have voice actresses such as Horie Yui (again Hocchan is <3 <3 <3), Kugimiya Rie, Mizuhara Kaoru and Toyosaki Aki (better known as Hirasawa Yui in K-On! Well at least for me). Apart from Hocchan, the other three seiyuu mentioned above will be singing the Opening Theme for the anime. (No Hocchan = boooo).  Both singles are not available for sale yet in major sites like CDJapan or Amazon Japan but I assume it’s going to be up by early June. Will try to update about it if I remember to do so.

Now I shall cease my fangirl mode and resume studying about crappy laws. I have roughly 2 and a half hours to go before my paper. I’m feeling sleepy. Damn it. Wish me luck.

Just a short post here. I don’t even know what I’m doing now. Oh wait, I’m supposed to be studying for my final exams but hey my lazy bones and brain don’t seem to want to do so. Right moving on. The single is set to be released on 3rd June 2009 with two songs entitled Tomorrow’s Chance and Sunshine Flower (wtf. No it’s not sunflower. It’s sun..er shine flower. I had no idea what flower is that or even if actually existed in the first place). As usual, the first press comes with a very “awesome” sleeve packaging which I’m sure no one gives a damn about. I know I don’t. But hey, it’s Minorin. No matter how stupid the first press giveaways are, I’ll still stupidly buy up the single. (I had a feeling danie’s gonna say something here…) . For those of you who wants to give the single a try, you can purchase them via CDJapan here.

Anyway, back to the cover. When I first saw it, I literally laughed out loud. I don’t know why. I find it funny. Maybe it’s because of the outfit. Or maybe it’s because Minorin looks extremely tanned due to the lighting effects. Or probably it’s those metallic balls hanging all over her clothes. Just maybe. Now I dread the PV. Personally I hope it’s something different compared to all her previous PVs. I wish she would move abit. Run around, jump or whatever. It tends to get boring after watching her standing in a stationary spot, singing. With outfits like that, how I wish someone equipped her with some M16, then she can run rampage and do some killing spree. Alright, my brain’s really fried out. I’m imagining weird stuff already. *Slaps self*.

Looking forward to June 3rd so that I can listen to the full version before I cruelly lands a verdict to the song. The short version I heard gave me an impression like what “Voyager Train” gave me. Ha ha ha. Not so good. Tomorrow’s chance is supposed to be a genki song but somehow the starting music doesn’t sound genki at all. Either that or maybe I myself is feeling too emo already.

Hopefully on her next radio show, she will preview the second song…err what’s it called again. Oh. Sunshine Flower. Had a feeling it’s going to be another genki song. Now it will be hillarious if it’s an emo song with such title. Let’s hope we get to hear it soon.

Oh well, I should go to bed now. Take a nap before resuming my studies. 4 hours to go before my exam. I need my sleep. Three cups of tea is not keeping me awake at all. *Continues slapping self*. Can’t wait for this horrendous week to be over with. I have six subjects and all the final papers are epicly scheduled on the 18th, 19th, 20th, 21st, 22nd, and 23rd and the subjects are fun too. Virtual reality, Mathematic Techniques 2, Multimedia Marketing (don’t ask me wtf is that), Digital Audio Programming, Media Law (it’s just law. Contract Law 1957) and Rendering & Animation. Ha ha ha. I just loooooooooooovvvvvvvvveeeeeeee my life now. One word sums it all. Yuck.

No this isn’t a seiyuu crazed post.

I was doing my assignment halfway and I realized it’s already 1 hour passed Mother’s day…in my country at least. But hey it’s still mother’s day in countries with GMT + 6 and below. I didn’t do anything for this year’s mother’s day. Hell even Minorin went back and celebrate mother’s day. Okay, now I’m feeling guilty. But with 2 assignments to be submitted on Monday and with the bus tickets so awesomely priced, I cannot afford to go back (what more when I had to pay my food in COINS). So anyway, I wish to wish my mom in the cheapest way. (Yes, I’m a cheapo). So here’s to my mom, happy mother’s day. Thank you for being such an awesome mom and putting up with me (or maybe giving up) for 20 years and counting. I’m just going to list down some stuff. Thank you for:

1) Cleaning up my room and doing my laundry and cooking for me. (Lol I’m soooo gonna get whacked).

2) Allowing me enough freedom to go out and hang out with friends. Unlike some parents that ground their kids from going out just because it’s their SPM year (Malaysia’s O-level). I’m quite sure there’s no parents reading this blog lol.

3) Allowing me to buy consoles and slave myself playing. Okay, this is only partly true. Many times my mom kicked me back to bed when she saw me playing at 4.00am.

4) Supporting me during my university years. Sorry I couldn’t do better than second class because I freaking hate the course I take now. But thanks for sticking up with me anyway.

5) Allowing me to fangirl on Hocchan, Nana-chan and Minorin. Lol, I mean at least my mom didn’t freak out when I start drooling at Hocchan’s concert DVD.  Due to this support, many things were made possible. Many many things. (Okay, you all can stop thinking perverted stuff now).

Alright, I should stop here. I have two assignments starring at me and my mom’s probably travelling nicely in her dream land already. So happy mother’s day again. Good night.

OMG MY DREAM IS COMING TRUE. MINORIN IS COMING TO ME I MEAN ERR MY COUNTRY! I LOVE DAICON!!!

Okay now, for the real info. Chihara Minori will be coming to Malaysia as her first South East Asia trip ever as the special guest for DaiCon! You’ll probably recall me blogging about DaiCon a few post back. It’s a modern japan visual culture convention held in Multimedia University Cyberjaya, Malaysia.

I’ll definitely be there in the convention even if I have to crawl, swim, whatever there. Ahhhhh. They posted a video from Minorin on the website. I played and I died. She’s going to perform (PARADISE LOST PLOX!!!) as well as having an autograph session which I’m definitely camping for it.

Erm…crap I don’t know what to blog. My brain’s so empty right now. Too shocked. Still pinching myself to see if it’s true or whether I’ll wake up anytime soon. The peeps at DaiCon subbed the video so no problem if you dont’ understand japanese and LOL Minorin sounded so cute when she pronounced Malaysia, Cyberjaya and Multimedia University. EI’m in a total zombie mode right now. After I came back I fell into coma for like 14 hours before actually waking up. When I woke up I was like…”WTF did I do?”. Sigh. Anyway, some good news…sorry if this post has no picture whatsoever because I am rushing out for lunch with my friends…yet I cannot resist the temptation to blog about this lol. Anyway, Minorin’s new single is finally up for pre-order! Entitled “Tomorrow’s Chance” this single is set to be released on 3rd June 2009. First press edition comes with cardboard sleeve…lmao wtf. Another news is that Hocchan is coming up with a new album! Yes! Finally! After such a long wait. There’s not much information on the new album yet apart from it has limited edition that comes with MORE photo books. 24 pages to be exact. I will update accordingly once I get the info. Special thanks to j1m0ne for bringing this to my attention.  Alright anyway, I got to go now. Friend is already calling me and I’m running late. Will update this post when I come back.
